Helloooo Loyal Reader,
I may as well write this post, because it will be so embarrassing posting this once January has come to an end. Every year I share my thoughts New Year’s eve, this year with a baby, a home and a family it becomes a little difficult to blog when and where I wish to.
The past year was a difficult one for many people in Kurdistan. Some people I love dearly and are close to my heart were immensely affected by the ongoing situation here, I don’t want to dwell on that but generally speaking I think most would agree it was not the best of years. Good bye to that, and let’s be positive, shall we?
With the new year I always like setting goals for the next 12 months. My husband asked me the other day if I ticked off everything I wrote in my 2015 list. My blunt reply came with a chuckle: “Haa, naaaa, I was far off.” But it does not really matter, because along the way some crazy things happened (one of which- I gave birth to the most precious baby- who came with a lot of morning sickness) and hey, there is always next year.
My number one 2016 goal is to get this research going, it is crawling at the moment, if it starts walking then I am a happy mummy. I would love to visit somewhere I haven’t visited yet and the other goals are written in my diary, for my own personal reference.
I hope 2016 will be a happier year for us all.
In the meantime I will sign off here because tomorrow will be a special day, and there is a lot to do with my Saza!
for now, lots of love from
My Nest in Kurdistan
